Ask Theia (“we”) is operated by Vladimir Khuraskin, based in Montenegro. This page explains what we collect to build your birth chart and how we handle it. Questions or requests? Email support@asktheia.app.
What we collect
- Your name, birth date, birth time (if you provide it), and birth city.
- Your gender, if you choose to share it, to personalize your readings.
- Your email address, only if you sign in to back up and sync your chart or to subscribe.
- If you subscribe: your plan, subscription status, and renewal date, and the reference numbers our payment provider gives your purchase. We never see your full card number.
- Subject to your cookie choice, limited usage analytics and masked session replays (for example, which screens you open and how you tap and scroll) to improve the product. On-screen text, including your name, birth details, readings, and chat, is masked and never recorded.
How we use it
Your birth details are used to compute your natal chart and generate your readings and chat answers. Your email, if provided, is used only to send a sign-in link, to sync your data across your devices, and, if you subscribe, to manage your subscription and send billing notices such as renewal reminders. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We rely on a few service providers who process your data on our behalf, only to deliver the service:
- Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, App Check, Hosting) stores your account, chart, and readings, sends your sign-in link, and uses Google reCAPTCHA to check that requests to our servers come from people, not bots.
- OpenAI receives your birth details and the questions you ask, to generate your readings and chat answers. Per OpenAI’s API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train its models.
- A city-lookup service we host on Google Cloud turns the city name you type into coordinates and a time zone. It receives the city name without any identifying details about you.
- Inflow Pay (France) sells subscriptions as our reseller and takes payments. It receives your email address, billing details, and payment information to charge you, calculate tax, and prevent fraud, and handles them under its own privacy policy.
- Amplitude provides product analytics and masked session replays (UX interactions only; your name, birth details, readings, and chat are masked), subject to your cookie choice.
- Sentry processes technical error reports (no personal data) so we can fix problems.
How long we keep it
We keep your data until you delete it. Your chart is saved in your browser and on our servers, even if you do not sign in with an email. Without email sign-in, clearing your browser data may mean losing access to your chart. When you use Delete my data, we permanently erase your profile, chart, readings, and chat. Deleting your data doesn’t remove the purchase records our payment provider must keep for tax and accounting.
Your choices and rights
You can permanently delete everything we hold about you at any time using Delete my data in the account menu. Signing in is optional. Email sign-in lets you access your chart on other devices.
If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and to not be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell or “share” your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, use Delete my data or email support@asktheia.app.
If you live in the EU, the UK, or Switzerland, you can also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or limit how we use it, and complain to your local data protection authority. Vladimir Khuraskin is responsible for your data as the data controller. To make a request, email support@asktheia.app.
Children
Ask Theia is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we will delete it.
Where your data is processed
Your data is processed on US-based infrastructure (Google Cloud / Firebase).
For guidance, not advice
Readings are for self-reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the date above, and note material changes in the app.
